HOLIDAY CHAT WITH AMALIE & CECILIE
We are wishing you a happy 4th Advent and Merry Christmas! We hope that you enjoyed the jolly treats of the Advent Calendar - we are genuinely so happy for all of the support received.
Now as the Christmas presents have been delivered and the rushing days are almost over, it is finally time for cozy and joyous time with loved ones. Reflecting back on the past year, so many things have happened and we are extremely proud of all the things achieved. LIÉ turned 2 and we felt so fortunate to celebrate this birthday with all of you guys, our community and friends. Also, we have taken the time to think and dream even bigger, and cannot wait to show you what will happen in 2024. For this occasion, we thought that it would be cute to share a little Q&A with Co-founders and Creative Directors, Amalie and Cecilie Moosgaard, about how they celebrate the festive and joyous Holidays, and what the past and coming year endeavour.
What has been the most exciting thing about the Holiday season in terms of LIÉ?
Cecilie: First of all, seeing all of the support and love that we received during the season has been so heartwarming. But if I need to be specific, I have loved creating our own bow ornament perfect for decorating the Christmas tree. I loved how we added it to our gift wrapping, which turned out so nicely. On top of that I have loved seeing the response of our advent calendar every Sunday in December.
What's your traditions for the Holidays?
Amalie: Every year, since I can remember we have spent the holidays in the Austrian Alps, skiing with the family. It’s the most wonderful way to spend Christmas and I wouldn’t change it for the world.
Which LIÉ jewelry pieces are you planning on wearing for the Holiday festivities?
Cecilie: Instantly I would say the pieces from our latest Holiday collection, The Louise Earrings, The Olga Bracelet and The Victoria Ring. However, I have loved seeing how people have been styling their Hannah Earrings and The Rose Necklace this holiday season. The red carnelian stone is a perfect color to get into the holiday spirit.
What's your favorite Holiday dish?
Cecilie: In Denmark the most traditional dish during the holiday season and on Christmas eve is duck, which is great. However, a bit childish in a way, but I’m mostly excited about the sweets; marzipan and nougat covered in chocolate along with home baked cookies and boiling hot gløg is what I love the most.
How have you prepared for the Holiday Season?
Amalie: Lots of heattech, comfy sweaters, and gift shopping. We do secret Santa every year which I love doing.
Which LIÉ pieces do you think is the ideal Christmas presents?
Amalie: Though question. However, I think our bestseller, The Caroline Earrings, is a great option. They suit everyone so nicely, and it continues to be a favorite of mine. Another great one, is The Elly Necklace - a favorite among the entire team since the very beginning.
What will be the first things that you will be focusing on in 2024 - do you have any exciting news to share?
Cecilie: We have so many exciting things planned for 2024. It’s gonna be a wild year. I can’t share much yet, but we are working on something very special in our hometown, Copenhagen, that will really incapsulate the whole universe of LIÉ STUDIO. Also, an expansion into new products is on its way which we are so excited to share!
